Addon utilities

There are several addon utilities and files that are included in the Supervisor 9 package. These utilities are either used internally by the program, or provide additional options for legacy users.

supdup.exe - This is a console utility (meaning it is executed from the command prompt). It will convert any existing legacy Supervisor configuration files (which have .sup file extensions) into Svr9 configuration files, which can be loaded into the program via the "Load Config" button on the Summary dialog. All the *.sup files must be in the current directory, and the resulting Svr9 .ini files will have the same filenames and will be located in the current directory as well.

SupDup takes one argument, which tells it which COM-port number should be specified in the configuration file. For example, the command:

supdup -C3

would read all *.sup files in the current directory, and generate equivalent *.ini files which specify that COM3 should be used for talking to the devices. The Auto-Connect, Auto-Read, and Polling options are all initially disabled in the resulting files.

mailsend.exe - This is a freeware utility which is used by Svr9 to send email via the SMTP protocol. The program is distributed under the GPL open-source license; both the program and its source code, can be obtained from:
