Device Summary List

When Supervisor 9 is run for the first time, this may be the only window displayed, and there will be no data displayed in the list. The user must select the "Add Serial Port" or "Add Ethernet Port" button to open the CommPort dialog box, which will allow the user to configure and scan a communication port for Anacom devices. See the "CommPort tabs" topic for details of the CommPort dialog.

Menu Controls

Add Serial Port - Opens the Comm Ports tab control and creates a tab for a new serial communications port.
Add Ethernet Port - Opens the Comm Ports tab control and creates a tab for a new Ethernet communications port.
Save Config - Saves current program configuration to a separate file which can later be loaded with the Load Config function. The saved configuration file is identical to the default program setup file.
Load Config - Load a previously-saved configuration file into the program. This will replace any existing program configuration.
Lock Send - This option disables all controls, on all dialogs, which could write data to the ODU(s). This allows users to avoid accidentally changing device configuration while they are monitoring device status.
Exit - closes the program
Help - display this help file

Comm LED states

BLACK - The comm port has not yet been opened

GREEN - The comm port has been opened, and the device has been successfully communicated with

BLUE - The program is currently in the process of communicating with the device

RED - An error has occurred on the comm port.

Poll LED states

BLACK - polling is disabled on this device

GREEN - polling is enabled on this device

BLUE - polling is enabled, and the device is currently being polled

YELLOW - polling is suspended temporarily

RED - device did not respond to polling command

Log LED states

BLACK - Alarms logging is disabled on this device

GREEN - Alarms logging is enabled on this device
